2. It's like that almost everywhere, now.
Even when the weather is nice, we get commercials from all the local stations reminding us they're the only one with uberdoppler.

4. Californians treat rain like it's 1 foot of snow
People can't drive, can't go out...can't cope

6. I actually left early to go home to beat the traffic
There's nothing like the 405 freeway in the rain to justify road rage

8. Heheh! I rode my bike home from work - left about 4:30 from
downtown Pasadena & rode the 5 miles (uphill!) to our house in Altadena. The rain held off till I was in the driveway, but what the hey, there's dry clothes at home anyway....

But in honesty I did leave work a half-hour early because it looked like I might get wet otherwise.

7. Look out for the lightning...
we had a hit in town...I lost cable and net but not electricity for about 4 hours. A neighbor said it struck a hotel about 8 blocks from here according to her police scanner. It's also dumping 18 inches of snow at higher elevations. If it moves south without losing it's steam, you may have some *fun* after midnight.
