I just watched Factotum...
Great Saturday night watching....

Makes me realize why I quit drinking when I did...

Matt Dillon plays a great hopeless drunk...

Almost as good as Mickey Rourkes Barfly...

Another book by Charles Bukowski...

Us pollacks make for great romantic drunks...

Looks really good...

I've come to really enjoy Bukowski through my poetry class...

And Matt Dillon is one hell of an actor...

I still remember how fantastic Mickey Rourke was in Barfly...

One very sad, scary movie long ago...

2. I was a partner in a blue collar downscale bar in the early 70's
The movie "Barfly" was just so close to what I saw every time we opened the doors. Depressing as hell sometimes, sometimes glory in small triumphs over that sonofabitch life.

Either way , they drank to excess.
