I'm having a CAT scan tomorrow.
Do you usually get the results right then? I had one in the ER when I got a concussion, so of course that one wasn't scheduled.

It's for a headache I've been having. Probably migraine, since I'm prone to them, but the DR just wants to check things out.

1. Had one a couple weeks ago
Technically a "mini CT" for sinuses. I had it Weds. morning, then called my doctor for the results Friday afternoon.

2. I didn't get my results until one or two weeks later....
But that may be small-town hillbilly hospital procedure for ya...

The people doing the scan couldn't tell me anything either - just that I did, indeed, have a brain.

I had to wait for someone "trained" to look at it, and that didn't happen right then.

6. lol! No WAY!
Pretty soon we'll be going thru the MickeyD's drive thru and they'll tell us to pull forward and wait while "some guy" in India prepares our order and FedExes it to our driver side window.

Unbelievable. :eyes:

3. You can get them 2 hrs. later or so
I had one two weeks ago on my kidney. It was right at the end of the day (6:45) and my doctor had the results and called me at 8:30 the next morning.

Good luck! May all go well.

5. I work in a hospital
and I do the registration for people having CTs and other services. Patients in our facility have to wait for the radiologist to read the xrays and then the results are sent to the ordering physician. So it depends on the ordering doc when you know the results.

9. Have your NECK checked... then, you could also try botox... it got rid
of my headaches COMPLETELY.

The neck is the primary source of headaches. I suggest a good chiropractor and muscle relaxors.

Then, the botox. Proven cure for so so many headaches, the majority of which are from just plain old tension.
