Worst Name for a Business....
I'd have to say the worst I have ever heard is a salon named "The Beaver Look" in Bemidji, MN. Bemidji state University's mascot is the Beaver, hence the name...

What about yours?

13. I can probably dig up the picture from the class alumni archives....
Two of us (not me, two others) standing under the sign.

It actually became a big deal a couple of years ago because an alum put together a video slide show for our 15th high school reunion with a slide of this pic. Since the school was funding the alum dinner (at the lounge at Jacob's Field in Cleveland), they tried to "edit" this pic. To his credit, the alum who was designing the production told them that either they gave him complete creative control, or they could "kiss his ass". They buckled, and we got to see the "Beaver Liqours" again.

There IS a "Beaver Liquors" or was in Beaver, PA.

That's my long-winded story.

51. Well, there used to be a chain here called Beaver Lumber.
There are about a million "Beaver Lumber" jokes...it's not really much better.

I still think the worst one I ever encoutered was an industrial plastics company called Wacker Silicones. The mods may ban me for even posting these two things in conjunction.

Dr. Gore - a Dermatologist that worked in my Pop's Hospital

Dr. Brain - my former Shrink

and, seen on an office directory in Baltimore,

Dr. Seymour Weiner - Urologist

I actually went to Dr. Weiner's office, and there really was a Dr. Weiner. The receptionist said she had a lot of trouble with phone calls.

86. I've seen that sign...almost left the road laughing....
And before you think I'm homophobic, one of my gay friends was riding with me and his comments about the sign were what really made it funny.

77. Bunyan Shoes
Yet another one from Bemidji, Minnesota. The supposed home of Paul Bunyan. How ironic...

So far in Bemidji we have:

Cease Funeral Home
The Beaver Look Hair Salon
Bunyan Shoes

What next! I just keep remembering more!

83. That's funny...
There is also a restaurant up in Northern Minnesota (side lake area) named Bimbo's Octagon. The owner's nickname is Bimbo, hence the restaurant name.

It's real, it's in rural WI, where I grew up. Not a bad name I guess, because it's an accurate description...but it's just an odd combo.

94. Schwan's
Schwan's is one of those places you order food from and they deliver to your house.

I found it funny in high school since I took 4 years of German and "Schwanz" is German for "dick", so every time we see one of their vehicles on the road someone says "there goes the dick wagon!"
