1. You'll love it!
The Shuffle is the smallest, Nano next to smallest... then classic... then the iPod touch....

with so many choices it's difficult! The guys at the Apple store near us were very helpful...

have fun... enjoy!! :hi:

2. Think about how much storage you need
how big is your music collection?

The Nano is the smallest memory you can get, 4G or 8G.

Do you just want to hear music or do you want to watch videos too(maybe stuff like YouTube)?

Realistically, with any tech toy, buy as much memory as you can realistically afford. You won't grow out of it as quickly. I personally have a 60 gig iPod. It also serves as my HD backup.

I use the Nano the most. Basically, download and install iTunes. And it is really simple from there.

Me and my nano..

Edit :: I'm drinking..

5. I love my iPod(s)
The shuffle, nano, and iPod serve different purposes.

The shuffle is $79, it's super-tiny and it's only 1GB (about 240 songs). There's no video capability.

The nano is $149 for 4GB (1000 songs) or $199 for 8GB (2000 songs). It has video capability, but the screen is tiny.

The iPod classic is $249 for 80GB (20,000 songs) or $349 for 160GB (40,000 songs). Obviously, it has video capability.

The iPod touch uses the touch-screen technology featured in the iPhone. It's $299 for 8GB and $399 for 16GB.

If you're planning on using your iPod as a storage device for your music, and you're interested in downloading TV shows or music, I would recommend the 80GB iPod classic. I think it's the best value, honestly. Why pay $199 for 8GB (the nano), when you can pay $50 more and get 10 times the storage?

I also think the price on the iPod touch is a bit ridiculous. I have an iPhone and the touch-screen technology is fabulous. but $299 for 8GB is really stupid. A few hundred more and you could get the 8GB iPhone. ;)

Whatever you decide, you'll LOVE it!

9. Selling mine... just don't use it.
Couldn't resist getting one they were so cool, but I almost never used it. Give you a good deal... help a DUer out. ;)

It's this one: http://www.amazon.com/Apple-iPod-Player-Silver-Generation/dp/B000EP4TWQ

Might not have the original packaging, but I think I do. Know for sure I have the unit, USB cable and pretty sure unused earbud earphones. Make me an offer!
