I get paid weekly, so I have a 5 paycheck month. He's paid bi-weekly, so has three too. Then we have Christmas, 4 birthdays in our immediate family, plus our anniversary in the first three months of the year (plus we want to buy a house in the Spring). We get ahead just long enough to go broke again. :woohoo:

Except March when we get our profit sharing checks.

I work for a major insurance company. We get up to 5% of annual salary in profit sharing. After 5 yrs, we get up to 20% deposited into our retirement accounts.

Oh yeah, we have incentive bonuses, too. We might get those this year, payable in January or February.

We get revenue bonuses twice each year (knock wood) and the usual retirement plan, but no profit sharing like that. Nice.

The 20% contribution is in lieu of a 401k.

All in all, it's not bad. I wish we got a little more pay, but that's being addressed (somewhat) in the new year. Oh yeah, I work 38.75 hours per week, too.

the ONLY way for that to happen is for the 1st to be a Fri, the 1st to be a pay week and for it to be a leap year
