I had an interview in DC yesterday

I took the Marc train to the DC metro, and then walked four blocks in the rain and wind without a coat. Hey, I finally had an interview -- there was no room left in my brain for remembering to bring a coat. :P

Anyway, I was soaked and frozen by the time I got there. My hair was... well, I'll just say not good. I almost went home because of my appearance, but when I walked in they took pity on me. The HR woman even offered to lend me her brush. They all giggled at my little adventure. I was just glad they didn't look at me like I had a horn growing out of my head.

But the interview went well. I think I answered all the questions in an intelligent manner, and they spent a fair amount of time laughing and being a bit goofy. I was surprised at that because this is a government job I was interviewing for. But hey, at least I know that if I get the job I won't be working with a bunch of tight-asses. :D

They said it could take up to three months to find out if I'm hired (:o x( ), so I'll be living in agony until after the new year. Here's to hoping! :toast:
