52. the best teacher I ever had
was Linda Batty, who taught the "gifted/talented" program my ninth grade year and coached us to the Odyssey of the Mind finals my senior year in 1987. I occasionally forget how hard she had to work with some of us (including me) on certain issues, and she frustrated the hell out of me at times, but never was there a better teacher.

She's still at the education business from what I understand, although she's (regrettably) not in the classroom any more. Batty, thank you.
