I hope I have a new water heater waiting at home...
Called the landlord this AM and said "I don't think a bigger drip pan is gonna help it this time. I had to stick a hose through one of the rusted-out places and lead that off to the tub to drain. I was using a bucket, but it's leaking at 2 gallons an hour..."

"We'll send somebody out..."

Maybe I'll watch "Das Boot" when I get home and turn it up loud.

"Dichtung der Nr. 10! wo die Werkzeuge?!? sind!"

4. Naw, this is the 3rd time I've bitched about it. They put in a new one.
Hell, at 5 years, I think I'm one of their longest tenants. So nice to just make a phone call and not have to bust my knuckles replaceing it. the last time I handled one was a bitch!

3. I'm a Plumber by genetics. as the Yorkies say "Fra Tha' Tittie, Man!"

My dad was a plumber, and I was his helper as soon as I could drag him a wrench from the toolbox.

I can wipe a joint, sweat AND caulk a bell and spigot joint. I KNOW better'n to say "HOT water heater".

Hot water heat is what the engineers call hydronic heat.(dad called it "Hot Water Heat")

They put a new one in. Left me a note saying "thanks for using that hose!"
