mmmmmm.....fresh bread right from the oven
I took a few large slices off right after I pulled it out and immediately slathered them with soft pure butter, and cut off some large chunks of cheese. What an incredible snack this is. MMMmmmmm mmmmmm.

I feel sorry for anyone who isn't in my apartment today!

Freshly made navy bean soup, home made wheat bread. Yum!!

1. *jealous*
You have to rub it in our faces, do you? ;)

Thanks for the inspiration -- must have fresh bread tonight!

3. Mmmm, it sure was good!
Can't wait to tear into the rest of it when the soup's done.

Technically, I try to avoid carbs as much as I can, but was SOOOOOOOOOOO in the mood for fresh bread today (actually, was in the mood for it on Friday, which is when I unpacked the bread machine and the espresso machine). :-)

4. And the bean soup?
INCREDIBLE!

I haven't made it in years and years. Mmmmm. Fresh bread, lotsa butter, cheese, bean soup. And so far almost two liters of water to wash it down. But it's worth it. Oh, gods, was it worth it.

5. Nothing beats fresh bread!
I cheat a little and use my breadmaker sometimes, but homemade bread in the oven is incredible.............. Yummmmmmmmmmm.

OK, now I've got to dig out that ham bone and my navy beans....

:P

6. Yeah, I cheat and let the machine do it
I love to make bread by hand, but too time consuming, and our apartment has so many cold draft running through it...and, you know, the difference between "by hand" and "by machine" is so aamzingly small, I don't mind cutting my workload down to the five minutes it takes to measure stuff. Then I can cook and do other things.

:-)
