NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- For two nights only, you can boldly go where no one has gone before.

For the first time Star Trek's original pilot episode "The Menagerie" will be shown in select theaters.

Although the original pilot was rejected by the networks, the series was eventually picked up by Desilu. The pilot was re shot and the only remaining character was Spock, played by Leonard Nimoy (Pictured left).

For the theater debut, digitally restored sound, clean prints, and new special effects will be added, as well as a documentary.

The showings will be held Tuesday November 13 and Thursday November 15, with tickets costing $12.50.

I make fun of Shatner, and rightly so, but Hunter's was a terrible, terrible performance.
