Why do people try to run from the cops? I'm talking about people in a car. I don't get it.

Yeah, yeah, I've seen a bunch of the shows. There's one on now.

For one, you risk the lives of every other person on the road. Okay, you're a douchebag, so what.

For two, when you DO fuck your car up, the insurance isn't going to pay.

For three, there's like a thousand of them, one of you. They've got all kinds of nifty gadgets and choppers. You've got a 1985 Buick LeSabre.

I don't get it.

6. They only show the ones...

...where people get caught.

Most of the time, you see, people DO get away. So the fascists that control all media are conditioning you to believe you should pull over and show your receipts whenever a cop starts chasing you.

8. Here's a better question:
Edited on Wed Nov-14-07 12:23 AM by XemaSab
Why would someone shoplift a $250 giant one-of-a-kind Peruvian hat and wear it around downtown Santa Barbara all day?

Like, did you REALLY think the 10 or so employees of the costume shop plus 7 of SB's finest together would fail to notice you?

F***in morons. Especially since you also shoplifted a $250 shirt from the same store (making it grand theft), plus a pair of $200 jeans and about $150 in assorted cosmetics during your SB crime spree. :eyes:

Would you have been caught had you not gaffled the hat? No.

Did you get caught and are you in deep shit? Yes.

Morons.

(And on edit: the little bitch DID try to run and got tackled by two cops in the Jamba Juice. Awesome.)

19. My cousin did that (run from the cops)... and died in the resulting crash
..whats the best course of action when one has...

a) just robbed a Pizza Hut at gunpoint
b) then carjacked a vehicle from a lady in the parking lot

...we felt at the time that he realized what a 'pickle' he was in (how's that for an understatement?), so he deliberately chose to go out in a blaze of violence rather than have to face his family (parents, wife & 2 small kids). This was not his first criminal act- but definately the worst. Manic depression runs rampant thru the family- he was more 'manic' than anyone. Still, its a good thing nobody else was injured, and his kids may be better off growing up without his influence.
