Never mind the boobage, how about the game?
Slippery field, some questionable calls, but otherwise, a classic that tore down the tradition of boring, uneven slaughters in the championship.

Most Superbowls are won or lost in the first quarter, this one went right down to the final seconds.

Incredible 85 yard pass from Delhomme, too. Pats defence cleaned up, as usual.

1. personally
I liked the boobage best of all.

Both defenses were awful at the end of the game.

2. It sucked badly
Edited on Mon Feb-02-04 03:57 PM by Kamika
I almost fell asleep in the 3rd.

Only thing that was good was Carolinas 1st touchdown and the last 5 mins.

The hype was better then the actual game :p

(anyway don't take this too seriously I'm a girl and all)

3. Best Super Bowl I've ever seen
I don't understand how people call it boring - that fourth quarter was fantastic.

4. Freaking mindblowing
When Delhomme lofted that bomb, I thought the
Pats were done, Carolina was back.

24. I want to know
why in HELL Fox called a time out with 1:28 left in the game on that final Panther drive. Absolutely unnecessary - you never, EVER give a good quarterback time to get his team in field goal range.

11. Boring? Parts
First quarter and most of the second - If I hadn't had people over, I would've changed the channel. Mind-blowingly dull.

Last 3:05 of the second quarter and entire second half - Incredible.

Overall - Eh. Good game, but far from the best I've seen.

5. Almost as if it was fixed.
Didn't see it but was the linebacker in the TE slot on the 2 point conversion? If not, the play was illegal.

They could have scripted a better ending than deja vu.

22. Yes, it is legal
Teams do it all the time - like putting a defensive lineman or extra offensive tackle in the tight end slot on a short yardage or goal line stand.

Of course, it doesn't matter, it's all a BFEE conspiracy to promote the Patriots and be jingoistic in an election year. It's so obvious when you look at it.

6. What game
Not to knock fans but I have never really understood the idea of getting excited about a bunch of other guys running around playing with each other. And the notion of rooting for a team just because it happens to be associated with a particular city? Just not reaching me. To each their own I guess.

8. Football is a coaches game
Like chess, but with real guys.

You set your game pieces, choose a play, then it's all almost random what happens after the ball is snapped.

10. One Question...
How the fuck does an NFL kicker miss a 31 yard chipshot in a fucking dome?

I mean, I could understand if the wind was really whipping like hell, but both of Vinatare's misses were inexcusable!

13. Must have been that
Must have been part of the "fix" the poster above was speaking of.

Yeah, that was weird, they could have used those 6 points, as well, towards the end.

17. In the 70s?
That was from Paul Vario and Henry Hill, New Yorkers, BTW.

The kids they bribed didn't even come through, and almost ended up at the bottom of the Charles, too.

Your tinfoil hat is on way too tight.

23. Care to prove it?
Oh, wait, you can't, because there was no fix.

Kickers do miss kicks. Sometimes easy ones. It's called a choke, and it does happen, even to the best kickers. Or have you forgotten that Scott Norwood was one of the best kickers in the league before going wide left?

But how many cornerbacks on both teams leave their receivers 5 yards open for entire quarters? Shittiest game I ever saw. Irvin had a point.

And no I can't prove it, I'm not a bookie. :P

26. Wide right
Scott Norwood was one of the best kickers in the league before going wide left

Coincidentally, "Wide Right" also happens to be the title of my upcoming unauthorized biography of Rush Limbaugh...

Poor Norwood never got it together to kick again after that.

16. great game
one of the better games in the history of the Super Bowl. The two Defenses were somewhat upstaged by their offensive counterparts.

That 4th Quarter TD by Carolina was the first lead anyone has had on the Pats since around thanksgiving. I dont care much for NFL football and that was a really exciting game.
