Have you ever been covered with leeches?

I was drinking my coffee and fixing my mini stapler, and I kept thinking about leeches.

Once I went swimming and emerged from a rock pool covered in baby leeches. It was icky but not that traumatic, because they were tiny.

great film. They are piloting a small boat down a river in Africa. At one point, the river gets so wide and slow that they have to get out and pull it while wading through reeds. Bogart gets back on and takes off his shirt.... leeches everywhere.

after I'd been swimming in a pond that I found later in the shower. It was tiny, hence why I hadn't noticed it. I puled it off and it bled for a little bit. Not really a big deal. It didn't bother me too much, but if I found myself covered in them, well, that would be a little unnerving.

16. Yes. I had the classic Stand By Me experience,

except, thankfully, for the one on the nuts. Didn't suffer that. But I emerged from a lake and had a whole bunch on me once when I was a kid. It was neat - I instantly went beyond freak-out into calm and methodically pulled them off myself one by one. I believe it was a character-building incident.

Oh, and you should definitely see The African Queen. Great movie.

IT worked, sucked the scorpion venom right out of me. I only had mild aches where I should have had severe pain.
