Hand on a bible that was just said to me here at work. I had to bite my tongue to keep from being a smart ass. But I wonder if this person is showing up a hour early for work and leaving a hour early at the end of the day.

10. That explains it
It's actually a miracle that a tech person realized it was dark, light, or there was even a sun for that matter.

5. I had to stop myself from saying...
"you are the master of the obvious, can't get nothing past you." I nearly hurt myself, in trying not to be a smart ass.

9. I could not imagine being up in the northern states.
At least here it is still partially light at 5:45. But by the time I get off work at 7 it is totally dark.

11. On the other hand, the sun sets around 8:30PM in the summer
You should visit then; you might change your mind.

Trust me, I lived in Houston for 20 years and I love it up here. :hi:

14. I would love living in a northern state.
But my wife does not like the cold. I am amazed she has not made us move from Lubbock. She hates snow and ice, with a passion.

13. I get that a lot from family members
And because they are family, I can be as snarky as I want. It just drives me up the wall when they are surprised/complain about a) "early" darkness in the fall; b) colder temps in the fall; c) first snowflakes in winter. LIKE IT DOESN'T HAPPEN EVERY FRIGGIN' YEAR.

Maybe these people have a problem with their "delay" button. You know, like on a radio station--we all have an internal "delay", where we think something stupid but use the delay to edit it before we say it out loud. Maybe their "delay" is on the fritz. Maybe they were born without one.

16. I guess it is a way to make small talk, but I am guess I have to much smart ass in me.
So I can not just leave it alone and make small talk.
