Anyone making a 'big' meal today?
I'm cooking a turkey today. Not because it's a 'holiday' but they were on sale @ 49 cents a pound
and it's about 12 pounds, so we can have it for the rest of the week! I made a huge pot of chili
yesterday too! :D It must be the cold weather sparking my appetite maybe? How about you?

5. That's it for the whole day?

I've only had coffee today so far but there is a cinnamon roll calling me from the kitchen! :P

2. I'm making chili because it's been chilly
Rainy and cool, which means "winter" here. I need a solid stick-to-the-ribs dish.

4. I'm in Mass. and it's been really cold in the mornings here!
I had thick frost on my windshield this morning and also on the inside!!

My son was sort of 'sticking up his nose' at eating chili last night but
I checked the pot this morning and now I know what he was doing last night
when he quietly returned to the kitchen last night two and three times!!!

It's almost gone! :P

13. I know about cold.
From Maine and lived in Boston for many years. I never call the weather HERE cold but it just isn't. Chilly, bone-chilling yes. Cold? Pshaw.

Sounds like you have a chili thief in your house.

14. Yeah me too but as I get older,
I seem to get colder, temp. wise! :P

The cold seems to bother me more for some reason, especially damp weather.

He is a thief!! But in a good way! ;)

3. We're having our annual Thanksgiving buffet in the office today.
So last night I made big trays of corn casserole and green bean casserole to bring in.

I'm with you, I think it's the cold weather (in combination with the upcoming holidays) that increases my appetite. I love this time of year! :)

7. That's sounds like fun at work today for you!
You're ambitious doing all that cooking last night! I hope your party goes well!

I have a butternut squash I'm going to cook and some freshly peeled potatoes to

go with the bird. I have to go get some stuffing mix and some cranberry sauce though!

I can't eat a turkey dinner without some cold cranberry sauce on the side! ;)

It is cold here and my appetite seems to increase as the temp. decreases!

:hi:

10. LOL!
We both seem to always be tired (heavy sleepers) so that's nothing new!

Instead of a 'pot pie'; I'll just top it with smashed potatoes instead of pastry!

11. I am working today, but I did cook big meals all
weekend - you may have something there with the cool weather....

I made chicken enchiladas on friday night and curried chicken and red lentils on Sat. I made Mr MB cook for me yesterday :P

12. I just got sick of sandwiches and having
to cook every night! If I cook a 'big' meal, then there's food ready to eat for awhile!
I love enchiladas and haven't made them in such a long time! Maybe I will soon! I was glad
I made the chili yesterday because (unknowingly) it was my sons' day off from work and we
ended up cooking together and then eating chili and watching a movie and actually talking
together and it was a great day! :D I had fun and he sat and spent time with me instead of his video games!

15. Just be sure and watch out for
exploding oven doors. Or any other kitchen appliance that decides to end it all. ;)

16. Last night
I made meat loaf with ground beef and pork. I put a lot into it and was upset because it was way too spicy so guess I'll cut it up and use it for lagsana. I even whipped up mashed potates and the ever popular green bean casserole with bacon bits. Next time, I'll make the meat loaf with ground chuck.
