My wife and I found our neighbor's lost cat!
The indoor kitty went missing on 10/31, and we just found it about 40 minutes ago. We came home from the grocery store, and as we were pulling into the driveway we saw a flash of fur over by the dumpster. Long story short, the owner was reunited with her cat after it had been away for 11 days.

Our neighbor is a 60ish single female who pretty much broke down when she picked up her kitty. It was a good night.

2. Like I said, our neighbor is alone
So we helped her look for her cat this past week and a half. I think we had all given up hope after 11 days, but the cat came home on its own.

We're relieved and very happy.

3. People love their animals, you did a good thing.
Many people would have done nothing. I have eight critters I consider pets. I would not be able to sleep if one was missing. My cats take two-three day "business trips" sometimes but I would be considering them dead/gone after almost two weeks. I am glad they reunited and that you were were there for both of them!

7. the lesson is...
...tag your cat with your phone number, and microchip it if you can afford to do so.

And never, never give up. Open every shed, every Dumpster, every garage in the neighborhood.
