Edited on Sun Nov-11-07 02:39 PM by GoPsUx
Flattered..I mean Wow! what an ultimate compliment.
I don't get why people get so weirded out by it or even angry.
Gay men can be very critical and picky so to know I could make the cut sort of made my face turn red.
Now I in no way want to have sex with another man period..End of story
But a compliment is a compliment and that is exactly how I took it.
And that is how everyone should..
Carry on :D

My husband often gets hit on by men (he's strait too), but it's just because he's such a freakin' cutie. :D

p.s. Good haircut.

8. I thought only movie stars had gay hair stylists
:D

I'm a total untilitarian when it comes to hair. "Number 2 on the clipper and mow it all down." $9 a month. People have told me that I should get myself a set of clippers and do it myself since it is such an easy hair cut, but I like going to the barber shop and socializing as much as I like getting a hair cut. If you want to get your finger on the pulse of a small town, then just pay a visit to the local barber.

11. I don't know about that picky thing
A certain group of gay men seem to find me attractive, and I am defintely not good looking

But yeah, I find it flattering, except when the guy is scary about it. Then I know what it's like to be a pretty girl in a crowded bar.

13. Exactly
I used to go to a gay bar, that was mostly lesbians. It's the bar that Saturday Night Fever was based on. Me and my friends had a little routine. When I'd be talking to someone I had just met (usually a friend of a friend) eventually, they would say something that assumed I was gay, at which point one of my friends would let them know I wasn't. It was interesting to see how different people dealt with it.

And it was meant as a compliment, so you done good, sweetie!

And I love your pic with the new haircut!

29. Oh, puh-leeeze. Lighten up! Go to GD if you are looking to pick a fight
I happen to love a lot of gay men. And my only point is that they are particular and discriminating when it comes to choosing a lover. They are not at all promiscuous and do not wish to screw every man in sight. Being selective is a good thing, is it not?

Take your race card somewhere else. I'm not going to go there or play that game with you.

Have a nice day, and thank you for shopping at democratic underground.

32. My SO's kind of like that too.
He tends to set off people's gaydar, so it happens fairly often. He used to manage the classical department of a large record store and there were a lot of older gay guys who would come in and flirt with him, as well as co-workers who fit that description too.

He's very very vaguely theoretically bi-curious, so I think he finds it just a teeeny bit exciting too, even if he'll never act on it.

Not in recent years now that I'm over the hill - but, when I was younger...

I had one gay guy pass me his phone number once when I was working in a restaurant as a 2nd job. And, other times I've had other gay men express interest.

You're mature enough to take a compliment as intended without considering it an affront to your masculinity. There are a whole lot of straight guys out there that could follow your example. Thank you!
