Happiness is... being carded at the liquor store.
I think it's time for a happy thread (spent a little too much time in GD). So, add your own and let's get a list going!

clarification on mine: I'm 32.5. Getting carded at 19 sucks.

5. I'm stuck inside with 2 small children,
it's 15 degrees outside, and there's at least 1.5 feet of snow on the ground (and counting). So no, it isn't too early. :toast:

2. No kidding
I'm 35 and got carded right before Christmas. I could have kissed the cashier with glee.

10. Happiness is making me freeper coworker shut up.
He is very religious RW scary. He's right, you're wrong, end of story.

Well, we got into it on Friday over Georgia's proposal to remove the word 'evolution' from public school science books.

He said they should give equal time to creationism in biology as evolution, and that evolution isn't fact, but a theory.

I asked him how he felt about sex ed being taught in public schools, and he hit the roof: "If people want to teach that to their kids, it should be done at home! It has no place in a public school!"

I smiled, and said, "If you want to teach your kids creationism, do it at church, or at home. Why is this issue any different? Would you want me barging in on your kid's sunday school class with a biology textbook? You only agree with the idea of teaching kids controversial topics at home when those topics are ones you disagree with!"

He was caught in a contradiction, and in hypocrisy, and he knew it. He opened and closed his mouth a few times like a fish out of water, and went back to what he was doing.

I agree with you.

I was in the grocery store buying some booze one night to wash my sorrows away and the cashier wouldn't let me leave until I showed her my ID. I said you have to be kidding me right and she said no. I asked for her manager because I couldn't find my DL and he said that I didn't look my age.

I felt damn good.

Good for you!

the best thing, he thought it was a fake ID! (horrible picture!) He made me tell him my birthday, spell my last name, and stuff. I was thrilled.
