If you could live to be 500 years old
but you'd have to stay inside your house for the rest of your life, would you do it?

1. I just turned 44. So you're hitting a little close to home for me.
I'm just 456 years shy of your gloomy scenario, sir.

2. No. I like my house, but not that much.
Plus, I don't think living to 500 sounds that appealing.

9. Yes, but I would build a reverse-house.
The outside would be in, the inside would be out.

19. Only if the people I love also live to be 500 years old
Edited on Wed Nov-07-07 08:08 PM by midlife_mo_Jo
My aunt is 91 years old, and she's outlived almost everyone she really loved. She's outlived two husbands, two of her three children, all of her siblings, all of her cousins, and most of her friends. She's a remarkably strong woman, no dementia, and still walking with a walker, but she misses so many people that she loved.

Longevity is not all that it's cracked up to be.

23. I agree with the sentiments!
Don't forget the indoor pool, and a professionally equipped exercise room. If you're gonna' live that long, you want to do so in good shape! :D
