alicia is no aretha, but she sings with the same impassioned intensity. she really sounds like she's feeling the pain. and i think i love alicia so much because she reminds me so much of aretha

1. I'm not too familiar with Alicia, truthfully, but I checked out that song

and she's got a killer voice! :thumbsup: I can definitely see the resemblance to Aretha, who is amazing.

as soon as i heard "you don`t call me anymore" i knew she was the real deal...plus she can play a mean piano.

bey is talented to be sure, but alicia channels classic soul in a way that bey does not. i guess it's apples and oranges, but for me alicia is "desert island" material -- bey, not so much.
