Who saw the coming attraction for the new movie, "The Mist" last night??
it's based on a Steven King short story of the same name. It's one of my favorites and I had always wished it would be made into a movie.

The short story scared the living crap out of me! Now I can't wait to see the movie! lol

4. I really wonder what they're going to do with the ending to that book
in the movie. After all, many of King's more depressing endings have been converted to either happy or at least less depressing endings when converted to the screen. In the book Cujo, the little boy died. In the movie he lived. In The Tommyknockers, everyone died in the book. In the movie most of them lived. In Salems' Lot, Ben kills Susan before she has a chance to really be a vampire except for a few nights. In the movie, he kills her much, much later. Actually, that's sort of more depressing isn't it? Okay, bad example.

Now, I thought that the ambiguous ending for The Mist worked very well for the short story. But I have a hard time seeing that ending fly on the big screen. It's just too sudden with too many open ends. If they were to change it, I actually might think that MIGHT be a wise choice. And I actually can't believe I'm saying that, because I love the book.
