They blew up a Repube convention in Springfield and made reference to a GI Joe doll with insufficient armor.

8. That was GREAT!
The GI JOE doll joke made me chock on my beer and then ended up going out my nose at the The convention scene! :spray:

6. Like Madonna, The Simpsons keeps updating itself for the times...
I wonder when The Simpsons will be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame(tm)... they qualify just as much as Madonna...

10. Been dead for years...
The exact instant it died was immediately after the last funny episode "They Saved Lisa's Brain" -May 9th, 1999.

RIP

11. The Simpsons seems funnier with each episode of Family Guy
Maybe it's just a relative thing, insofar as anything compared to Family Guy will seem freaking hysterical, but there you have it.

20. I am so excited about this!
IMHO, Futurama was always far superior to The Simpsons, and those bastards at Fox cancelled it right when it was hitting its stride. I'm glad it's coming back for a second chance. :)

15. Never seen it-
I also have never seen one second of Survivor, South Park or the hundreds of reality shows that people in my office talk about every Monday around the water cooler. I have heard the simpsons are funny though.

But it's still pretty good.

21. they played the treehouse of horror from last year which ended
with the absolutely BRILLIANT commentary on the iraq war.

that was just last year! Every time i think they're loosing it, they redeem themselves. the show is every bit is quick and sharp as it was in the heyday, imho.
