How is that handled out of curiousity?

1. We work 12 hour shifts.

They allow the night people to leave after the 12 hours of work is finished. The day crew comes in an hour later and continues on. In the spring they only work 11 hours and are only paid for 11 hours.
It REALLY sucks being on day shift though in the spring. I live 50 minutes away so I lose an hour of sleep out of my typical 5 1/2 hour sleep cycle that day.
