I think this is a kitty hint
that they'd like a kitty bed.

I mean, I guess they can have that. It's just an old laundry basket no one uses, piled with mystery junk no one in the house will claim.

But, maybe they want a little nest?

1. Knowing cats, though...
If you bought them a kitty bed, they would not use it...

:hi:

4. I don't know - I just brought out Sunny's unused bed, and Morrissey LOVES it
He kneaded on it for 10 minutes (he loves soft things), and now he's passed out in it. I guess it just depends on the bed. This one is really soft and has a little mousie toy attached to it.

20. KW is absolutely right
My two would never put up with a kitty bed. Not when there are laundry baskets, the sock drawer, and my head at 4:30 AM.

6. It was cuter still when they were sleeping!
Jasper (the strange looking white/tabby one) was using Ion as a pillow and Ion had his head lolling out... they woke up when I showed up with the camera phone though :(

7. It's not a hint. They now HAVE a bed.
You will probably be welcome to pad it with your finest silks.

I caught these two napping today. (The dog is named "Moe")

13. Either that, or they just have a basket fetish, like two of my cats.
Two of mine will land in any basket or box they can find.

14. My cat will always curl up in the laundry
...whether it's waiting to be washed or just come out of the dryer. She has a real thing with shoes and socks--loves the human pheremones more than catnip.

So if you went to Petsmart and bought a kitty bed, they'd just ignore it and continue to sleep everywhere but. You know how felines are!

15. Just make sure you get a big enough bed or else this happens.

If you look closely, you can see there is actually a kitty bed under these two.

What you need is a laundry basket.

18. You must put freshly laundered clothes in there...
so they can leave their fur all over it. That's what my kitties do.

Soooooo cute!!! :loveya:

19. Cats love to be in things. But I had a fancy cat bed once and my cat didn't
use it. Mine now sleep in suitcases I have under my bed. Which makes for lots of cat hair fun when I travel.

22. We bought 3 plush kitty beds for the hordes
Caesar used to sleep in the one in the living room, but now that he's gone, I don't think anybody's used it since. Quark sleeps in one of the ones in the master bedroom. So does Imhotep from time to time.

Plato sleeps in my vanity sink. :P The other cats all have spots that they share on a mysterious and semi-random rotation system.
