my dog has the hiccups!
it's driving me crazy

I spilled water all over the place trying to get him to drink upside down from his water dish. That didn't work.

I tried scaring him, but he just thought I wanted to play.

What can I do?

1. Did you, up until very recently, used to have a kitten?

4. Maybe you should give them a call?

3. No, seriously - go to the supermarket and pick up a nice steak - rib-eye, a little marbled, about 1"
thick. Come home, turn on the broiler, wash and slice some mushrooms, toss them in a hot frying pan.
Cut up some onions, too, and brown them in olive oil with the mushrooms.
Your broiler should be heated enough, so broil the steak for just a couple minutes on either side.

By then, your dog's hiccups should be gone. Sit down and enjoy your steak, and save a piece for Fido.

5. My dog does this every once in a while.
She gets that puzzled beagle look when it happens, and looks to me to stop 'em. After all, I'm omnipotent. When I walk into a room, the sun comes up. Dogs are impressed by that.

It'll stop. Give it time.
