Not only did I want them to know that I thought the HT show was tasteless and demeaning to all Americans (kid rock bit) but also to let them know that no one could be fooled by an obviously planned spectacle for all the "boobs" who were watching.
The phones have been swamped. The affiliate has recorded an apology and is giving out the HQ phone number. THAT number is busy.
It's tomorrow when you come across that really upset con.... then...talk to them about the MoveOn ad. You don't argue with people who have made up their mind already.
they wont air the move on add but they air the 'drugs support terrorism' bs every year sicnce bush took office. i refuse to watch this year though. so i donno if its' aired or not.
that and they broke like an elephant sitting on crackers about airing the regans Letterman is the only half-liberal voice on that channel, and even he panders to the right as well.
I get quite alot of practice here in neo-con country. Of course I am upset that MO didn't get their ad on. You do know that GE owns CBS don't you? You do know that GE is a prime military contracter don't you? You strike where the opponent is weakest. In this case it is their hipocrisy. Expose it for all to see.
But the booby issue is not distracting from the MO issue. CBS will blame the independent producers of the HT show. Why not the same for MO? Equal treatment and all.
17. What's the problem? I thought the boob shot was great.
If it's ok to lie about war and get thousands of body parts blown off of Iraqis and U.S. soldiers, then it's OK to show a nice shapely body part that's still living on TV.
