1. I am challenged

I write for a living; PR, cover schools and towns for local papers, but I CAN'T spell. Not worth a dime. Whatever I see is how I think it should be. Can't do math either.
So for every misspelling in all of my posts, I'm sorry.
I am afflicted.

3. It's not the spelling, it's the grammar (grammer?)

I went through the Oklahoma public school system back in the 60's, and EVERYBODY learned how to write well. I just don't get it with some of the people on DU. It's almost as though they don't have time to write their thoughts correctly, and assume that just slopping something down is good enough. It's not. Wait until you have time to do it right, otherwise it's just slop, which I find somewhat insulting.

I think people lapse into a stream of consciousness and just write whatever pops into their heads.
