How to ruin casual Fridays
Edited on Sun Feb-01-04 07:06 PM by Lostmessage

You don't wear cut off hot pants to work that blows it for everyone.

1. We had one guy do close to that
He had legs so hairy, he could compete in a chimp legs contest, and he wore cut-off shorts to work. Needless to say, the management issued a "casual Friday" dress code after that.

2. One guy at my work came in with no underwear on and shorts
You could see his whole package when he bent over or sat down.

3. I'm amazed at what people will wear in the name of "dress down..."
Your example is (sadly) only a slight exaggeration. I am frequently embarrassed. I'm no fashion plate, but I do believe in a different style of dress for work than leisure.... even if it is dress khakis and an oxford or other neat pressed blouse for women. Shorts really piss me off, unless you are out in the heat doing physical work or deliveries for UPS/USPS. Ok, flame away... That is how I was raised....

4. I take the bus to work....and
have seen people dressed like this during the summer.

Oy vey....I am not a small person and I believe that just because they make something in your size does not mean it needs to be on your body.

6. Yeargh!
I wouldn't wear something like that -- EVER -- and compared to her, I'm positively svelte!

My idea of "casual Friday" is nice casual pants (even new-ish jeans) and a blouse/sweater or smart t-shirt (the dressier kind, not the regular kind with slogans or whatever).
