and I also recommend spybot to purge the filthy 'tracking' crap.

(though it *may* make you SICK to discover how many infections you have the first time you run it!

20. TOONS?

check the sig line.

getting nil hits and may quit them. just lost my job (if you didn't see that thread) and don't know if TOON mining (which I used to do while working hotline) is going to be a priority in the coming months.

i killed my pop-ups thru AOHELL, if you can believe that. they DON'T make it easy but someone on DU posted the right link MONTHS ago.

but, i get ABSOLUTELY no pop-ups with these settings!

now, all I need is LOTS of paying clients for my graphics biz and for everyone to buy a mug (once a month forever)

kidding, duh. the store is to 'test market' concepts and graphics--not to make a living!

Spybot Search and Destroy (in addition to adaware) is worth checking out.

http://spybot.safer-networking.de/

adaware

http://www.lavasoft.de/

This is also worth checking out.

15. Oh, and get yourself a popup blocker
I'm using the google toolbar which is both a popup blocker, and also just a darn handy dandy thing to have.

Then you'll never see that window again!

In the last week or so since installing the toolbar, it's blocked 175 popups. YAY!
