Loungers, what is your fav 'ethnic' food?
Based in America, my vote for best ethnic food is Chinese (kung pao shrimp, sesame chicken, fried dumplings, egg rolls) is best.

Mexican (the #4 combo down the street) is a close second.

In my trips abroad I came to enjoy Turkish/Moroccan followed by Greek food to be groovy.

What do ya'll like? and what is your favorite dish?

Japanese, Sushi in particular
Italian
Jewish Deli food (like Matzo Ball Soup and a nice Reuben)
Mexican
Salvadoran
Thai
Korean
Chinese (Dim Sum on a Saturday Afternoon is a great treat)

I don't know whether you would consider this "ethnic" food, but I really really really like Southern/Soul Food. I was brought up on it and there's nothing better than Fried Chicken, Mac and Cheese, Cornbread and Greens with fatback.........

Also, Red Beans and Rice is a favorite comfort food 'round here.....

30. I LOVE Curry, but I don't know the nationality.
There was my favorite restaurant called THE CURRY HOUSE near Japan Center in Los Angeles, so I always was assuming this was Japanes Curry. You could get it mild, medium or hot. I usually got medium, but it seemed hot to me.

31. I love that place
I get hot because I don't really feel mild or medium is spicy enough. That's kinda weird because I don't have a high tolerance for spiciness. The Curry House in West LA has a little more variety but the one in Little Tokyo is great too!

39. I can't pick just one
I love the food in Spain. On the sea. It makes me almost cry when I think of it. The grilled sardines and fresh salad with a bottle of cold, local wine with the sun beating down while a strolling group of musicians play for tips. I love the food in Greece. In Italy and France. Morocco. I love Indian curry while sitting in a restaurant on a back street in London. I love Mexican food with a margarita. I love the grilled fish in Hawaii. Each flavor and each bite and each sip is a memory. I love Japanese food. Korean food. Chinese food. Vietnamese food. I love fish and chips while sitting in a pub in London.

Sorry. I can not choose one. They all have their time and place.
