So what Anime are you watching right now
Edited on Tue Aug-05-03 01:32 PM by Az
We are currently watching .Hack, Noir, Inuyasha, and Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Most recently finished include FLCL, Trigun, Chobits, Hale Nochi Guu, Ebichu the Household Hamster, and Finished off Cowboy Bebop with the movie.

Discuss. Compare. Let the people know Anime is not just Sailor Moon and DBZ. There is more depth here than the entire US network season.

1. FLCL rules!
Doesn't make much sense and its pure entertainment. Big O on the other hand has a lot of depth and seems to be developing into a very interesting storyline. Granted I just watch Adult Swim but its good exposure.

2. FLCL makes sense
Its all about subtext. Gotta watch it closely and then start making the connections. Its complexity is why its so short. There is no way they could do this as a longer series. Everything ties together perfectly.

3. Nothing new except FLCL
I'm saving up for a new computer, so no new anime for me for a few weeks.

4. part of 3*3 eyes, I think
There was a kewl movie on one of our premier networks here. I can't remember the title, but it was about a bad-ass Mexican chick and her crazy boyfriend kidnapping two white kids. At one point they stop off to visit some trailer trash and they're all sitting (big fat mamma and three little kids) watching some really pornographic anime, the kind with big purple feelers raping pre-pubescent girls (although who can tell? All anime looks pre-pubsecent).

5. Does 'Spirited Away' Count as Anime?

That's the only type I usually watch.

8. Yes indeed
Academy award winning Anime at that. There are a slew of incredible anime movies that are must sees. From Akira to Grave of the Fireflies there is a wealth of styles to see.
