2. Well; I don't "own" this one. It's an apt. but
I have such a small kitchen and the dishes were just piling up and the plumber finally
showed up yesterday and I called the landlord about this almost two weeks ago! He did
have a new one delivered on Monday but it was sitting in my kitchen, in the box, for
four days!! :grr: But I got up at 5 AM today and started loading it. I'm so happy! :D
I can now see my counter!! I can even make a sandwich and use a plate! :P

Thanks!

5. LOL! Mine was 14 yrs. old!
It just suddenly quit and wouldn't drain and it had standing water in the bottom. Ugh.

Which we had to bail out by using a measuring cup and a turkey baster and a pail! :P

Then I couldn't even turn the knob anymore. :grr:

But the new one is LOUD but that's ok, it works! :D

Doesn't it feel good?? Congratulations!

My (very) old dishwasher broke down last year, and I limped along without one for awhile, but I hate doing dishes and I fell into the habit of letting them pile up in the sink, which was disgusting -- so I finally broke down and bought a new one a couple of weeks ago, and it was such a wonderful feeling, to put those icky dishes in it and turn it on, and it hummed and sloshed and, woo hoo! the dishes were clean! YAY!

The dishwasher is one of the greatest inventions of all time.

7. It and the refrigerator are the best inventions for a house!
I agree!! I didn't have one for a long time where I lived and had two small kids at the time
and it was an all day thing. Washing the damned dishes and baby bottles and cups and pots and
pans. What a bummer! My hands were always red and dry and wrinkled. I love having a dishwasher
and I refuse to rent/live anywhere that doesn't have one! It's a necessity at my house with a
teen son who'd forget his head if it wasn't attached, let alone remember to wash a dish or reuse
a cup! :P It is a wonderful feeling! I think that when I come downstairs to a dirty kitchen
(like this problem caused) and to try to make coffee just sets me off in a bad mood for the day.
I have to have a clean counter and no messes or smelly trash sitting there. I can deal with my
son's messy room and even the living room being messed up a little but not the kitchen. No way!

I hope you can get a replacement. Don't wait and be left in the lurch!

It really is a huge problem, once it's gone, if you aren't used to hand

washing your dishes. AVS? Do you mean the emoticons? Here you go! ;)
