Karmic Questions (3)
1. What do you think you were supposed to learn in this life (regardless of whether or not you have learned it yet)?

2. What unpaid karma from your last life led you to choose the life you live today?

3. What lesson (assuming you do not achieve enlightenment and are not absorbed into the absolute this time around) do you think you will charge yourself with learning in your next life?

Don't turn this into a religion flame war, please. If the thinking that leads to these questions doesn't apply to you, kindly skip the thread; it ticks me off when a potentitally good discussion is locked due to religious flame wars. Thanks for your cooperation.

1. Oh I hate threads that make me use brain matter. LOL
But I can never stay away from them. ;)

1. What do you think you were supposed to learn in this life (regardless of whether or not you have learned it yet)?

Not to fear anything.

2. What unpaid karma from your last life led you to choose the life you live today?

I don't know. I must have done something pretty damn bad though.

3. What lesson (assuming you do not achieve enlightenment and are not absorbed into the absolute this time around) do you think you will charge yourself with learning in your next life?

Not to let people walk all over me.

Now, I want to hear your answers. :)

2. Oy! ...
I'm askin' the questions here. ;)

I'll answer when this thread looks like it's started to peter out. (And yeah, for sure, I have answers.)

3. I want to answer but a cat is on my keyboard
okay she's gone now.

I think I was supposed to find out what it is to love someone unconditionally. My husband and I had gone through some very bad times, and while I knew that I still loved him, I was very angry with him. When he was diagnosed with cancer, all the bad stuff went away and it wasn't about me anymore but him.

I think that I was responsible for the death/ misery of many people. So I had to experience the death of someone close to me: my husband -we were alone when he died.

In the next life I want to be enlightened, and rich.B-)

5. Wow, that IS a major...
...lesson/revelation.

So (to make a heavy question even heavier -- and assuming it's okay with you to pursue this), why do you think you are still here? What do you think you have yet to learn / accomplish with the rest of your life?

Do you think maybe it's enlightenment that's coming -- and keeping you here?

Enquiring yoginis want to know... :)

4. The rich part was meant to be funny.
Not sure you can be enlightened and rich at the same time.

6. I was 'rich' for about five minutes in cosmic time...
...and I admit, I was distracted from My Path.

But, uh, I'd sure like to find out if one can be rich and enlightened!

P.S. Did you ever hear the story about the man who couldn't move because his cat was sleeping on the sleeve of his robe? Rather than disturb Kitty, he cut off his sleeve so he could go to bed.

That's my kind of role model! :)

7. Hey Sapphocrat
Sorry I couldn't answer your next couple of posts last night. I had been in Vancouver for a couple of days on a business seminar and I was too tired to stay up any later. You must be a night owl!

Anyway, that kind of guy is also my role model. Last night before I got home, I went to the grocery store, and there was a young guy in the line up behind me that had a massive bag of dog food and a whole bunch of cat food. He told me has numerous dogs and cats, but he had one cat that had kidney disease. He's had him since he was a kitten (five years) and the kitten had numerous health problems. Apparently the cat is fine for a couple of years and then goes into some kind of kidney thing. I said that can be expensive (he didn't look like he was very well off) and he said hey that cat is his best buddy and he would go without food to pay the vet's bills. He was the sweetest guy. I told him he had restored my faith in humanity.

In answer to your karmic questions: I am not sure what I need to learn in this life. Maybe to love again? Maybe to live my life on my own and prove to myself that I am a capable woman? To have some compassion for others that I didn't have before. To just be a better person and not so egocentric?

I hope we can continue this conversation a little later. I'm going out for brunch and will be online this evening.
