Tonight's "Pushing Daisies" -- another triumph
that show is getting better by the week -- more outrageous, more endearing, more sweet, more heartfelt, more off-the-wall, more loveable. i haven't been this excited about a new show for a long time.

yay! :bounce:

2. I loved Aunt Vivian and Olive singing Birdhouse In Your Soul
Digby got very cool last night as well when he pulled the fire alarm. It's attention to little things like this that add extra flavor to an already delicious show.

21. Definitely a real song by They Might Be Giants.
Quirky and prolific, the opening theme for Malcolm in the Middle is also their work.

26. I didn't hear them sing it!
Guess I wasn't paying enough attention... I did hear Olive say the title of the song, though.

5. I love that it's quirky and different
The fact that they threw in a They Might Be Giants song is a nice bonus, too. :)

6. The opening bit about the dog almost made me cry.
And I usually laugh at people who cry at TV and movies.

14. HAHA!
it was very sweet, esp. for me cuz i had a golden when i grew up. then when they couldn't touch.

there's something about the premise of not being able to touch that is so overwhelming. it happens in the tender moments with chuck as well, the desire for them to touch is so strong -- i've never felt that before.

this show is breaking ground.

27. If you ever saw me watch a movie
you'd be in hysterics, because I'm the kind of person who cries at movies when someone stubs a toe or something. Okay, not literally, but it doesn't really take much to set me off.

I was watching The Iron Giant the other night and the tears were flowing quite copiously during the last 15 or so minutes. I need to buy that movie; it's one of my most favorite animated films ever.

24. The narator, Jim Dale, is one of the many things I love about the show
He also voiced all of the Harry Potter books.

25. Never heard any of the Harry Potter books...
But I don't know some of it is ok, but the stuff that drives me up the wall is when he says stuff and the characters repeat it right after. The other thing is he won't shut up some times and just let the story go.

I adore it. I was sad when they cancelled "Dead Like Me", but now, I can watch this!
