4. If he's in Berlin, he's a person
Germany's like the United States in that different regions have different words for the same thing--think how many words we have for a sandwich made on a long roll. Hoagie, hero, sub, grinder, spuckie...you get the idea.

The full German name of a "jelly donut" is "Berliner pfannkuchen"--it was supposedly invented by a German army cook who came from Berlin and who wanted to make a pancake you could eat with one hand while shooting enemy soldiers (all right, French soldiers; the Germans were at war with the French while this guy was in the army) with the other. The odds of someone going to the bakery asking for that are fairly slim; everyone in West Germany outside Berlin calls it a Berliner but Berliners call it a Pfannkuchen. I don't know what they called it in the DDR; probably Pfannkuchen. The East Germans had some weird words...toiletries were "household chemicals" or "Haushaltchemie."

The Berliners and the rest of Germany knew what Kennedy meant, even if the freepers who know ten words of German didn't.

6. Wrong!
It's "Ich bin ein Kriegverbrecher."

"I am a war criminal."
