Tomorrow is my 4 year anniversary on DU

I joined up on October 23, 2003.

Over 20,000 posts in 208 weeks of DU, or more than 96 posts per week.

1,461 days, or nearly 14 posts per day.

Hopefully, at least a handful of my posts have added value over these four years.

Not a lot has changed, though:
-We're still in Iraq.
-Bush is still President and still pissing on the Constitution despite at least 1,461 "Bush is toast" threads in that time.
-Dick Cheney is still Vice President

kind of depressing, actually.

I'm just depressed that we still have 15 more months of Bush and I don't see anything that will get us out of Iraq in that time.

I remember joining four years ago October 23 when I was living in Germany. Wow I was totally a different person with a different life back then. So much has happened since then ... it seems like 10 years but it has only been 4.

My daughter was 8 months old back then and was just starting to talk - now she is 4 years and 8 months old and I don't think she's stopped talking in that time...

The Reign of Bush has seemed like its gone on forever, though.

12. I'm normally a pessimist

but, i remember almost exactly three years ago now - so, only days before the election - I posted a thread in GD saying how I felt strangely confident.

7. Happy Anniversary!

In 2001, I wasn't even on the internets. I'll tell you too, I had a lot more time for other things (including 20 rose bushes I had!). In 2004, I was on the John Edwards blog... it's all history from there.
