Poll question: Who here has had cosmetic surgery of some kind or another?
While this may seem like something that should be in the lounge, I am asking it here in relation to all this absolute FRENZY over what has been tentatively labelled "Botoxgate" to see how many DUers have had cosmetic surgery of some kind or another just to put this whole thing in perspective.

As an aside, I'm a Clark guy.

3. Nah, I'm beautiful enough already.
No need for that crap. Plus I'm young so that helps.

5. Never been tempted
I don't even like how people look with this stuff, generally.

6. I hit the wrong one.
I was going to vote yes, but hit no by mistake.

In my case, it was because I had to, after my face was smashed in a car accident in 1980.

7. Laser surgery on my nose
To get rid of spider veins that lit up my nose like a Christmas tree whenever I got too much sun. Prevalent among Irishmen, like myself, and no doubt seasoned by all my teenage golf outings, sans sun block.

They actually zapped me twice, the second as a cleanup. Both times my nose turned purple and crusty within hours, terrifying a little girl in a barbecue restaurant the first time, when I hadn't covered the area sufficiently. Took several weeks for normalcy to reappear.

I don't know if this qualifies as cosmetic, but I'm glad I did it and no one else who answered yes would specify.

Cost = $300

8. I get botox several times a year for the grand canyons between my
eyes. Now, I don't look ANGRY anymore and my headaches are gone as well.

9. Yes, if you care to call it that
When I was about six years old, I was jumping up and down on my parent's bed. The bed had a footboard. I miscalculated. I landed, face-first, on the footboard. Blood all over the place. Much hilarity ensued.

Well, not really. The footboard severed my nose neatly, at the bridge. Mommy held my nose against my face until we got to the hospital, where they sewed it all back on again. I still have the scar (although it can only be seen if I squint).

I remember my parents promising that they'd get me a train set if I didn't cry.

I got the train set. It was pretty easy, since I was in shock at the time. And I still have a nose. All in all, a pretty productive day. :-)
