Anybody know a chow venue in downtown Chicago?
This would be for a party of 8. Six casually-dressed grown-ups, plus 1 older teen, 1 younger teen.

The closer to the Art Museum, the better.

I step aside and say thanks in advance to anyone who can make a recommendation.

A good weekend to all.

3. Here's a link.
Scroll down to see all the restaurants. It gives you the distance to each eatery as well.

Have fun! :hi:

4. I'd recommend 'Heaven on 7' on Wabash
Great Cajun-style lunch/dinner. 111 N. Wabash. It's a little loud in there, but the food is wonderful.

Or check out this link on metromix.com

For a real taste of Chicago history, try Miller's Pub on Wabash near Adams.

10. Miller's Pub is what I was going to recommend. I would have said The Berghoff, but they're closed
now. :-( :-( :-(

11. Ed Debevic's
The teens will love it and so will you.

(the food's not the best, but the service is awesome)

However, It's a hearty walk from the art museum.

There's always pizza. Uno and Due, and my fav, Giordano's. Lots more.

Down by the Pier, there are several great restaurants too, like Bubba Gump's. And what about the Blues Brothers?

The ultimate message board about food. Not by people in the industry, but by people who love food. There are boards for every part of the world and other food related topics.

You know the type, a person who buys a burger on one sdie of twon but goes across town to get the fries.

not exactly near the art institute, but most of this stuff downtown with the exception of a few places isn't that great.

18. Not quite sure where
in Chicago you'll be but the Russian Tea Room is only a block away from the Chicago Art Institute.

My personal opinion, it would be a nice experience for all age groups.
