Celine Dion - Fly Lyrics

Fly, fly little wing
Fly beyond imagining
The softest cloud, the whitest dove
Upon the wind of heaven's love
Past the planets and the stars
Leave this lonely world of ours
Escape the sorrow and the pain
And fly again

Fly, fly precious one
Your endless journey has begun
Take your gentle happiness
Far too beautiful for this
Cross over to the other shore
There is peace forevermore
But hold this mem'ry bittersweet
Until we meet

Fly, fly do not fear
Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
Your heart is pure, your soul is free
Be on your way, don't wait for me
Above the universe you'll climb
On beyond the hands of time
The moon will rise, the sun will set
But I won't forget

Fly, fly little wing
Fly where only angels sing
Fly away, the time is right
Go now, find the light

oh yeah
I want it all
and I want it now!!!!!!

3. Sorry for your loss

Can you say who/what it was?

I've suffered a number of losses recently myself, and I couldn't tell for sure if your post was sarcastic or whether you were being sincere. I'm so emotional these days that I took the lyrics seriously and was moved by them.

5. Oh, lost...
 I'm sorry, sweetie. Let me know if there's anything I can do...but for right now, I find these lyrics to be beautiful and somehow reassuring:

Josh Groban - "To Where You Are"

Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memory's so clear

Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be...
That you are mine, forever love
And you are watching over me from up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile to know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power can't be seen

As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday
'Cause you are my forever love
Watching me from up above

And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave

Fly me up
To where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

8. One song will always remind me of my dad...
he grew up during the depression, loved jazz and swing, loved to dance the lindy and was fucking great at it.

however, there was a small dixie land jazz group in the early 60's called, "The Village Stompers" and they had a famous instrumental song called, "Washington Square".

My dad would always say, "that's a great number".

I love that song. I have a copy at home I listen to every so often, but it's the best when it comes on the radio out of the blue.

He's gone now 7 years (hard to believe) and not a day goes by without me thinking of him.

I miss him.

9. Willie Nelson Singing:
Blue Eyes Cryin' In The Rain

In the twilight glow, I see
Blue eyes cryin' in the Rain
When we kissed goodbye and parted
I knew we'd never meet again

Love is like a dying ember;
Only memories re- main.
And thru the ages I'll remember
Blue eyes cryin' in the rain.

Someday when we meet up yonder,
We'll stroll hand in hand again.
And in a land that knows no parting,
Blue eyes crying in the rain.

-----------

Peace to you.

12. This one always makes me think of my daughter...
Pretty soon you'll be able to remember her
Lying in the garden, singing
Right where she'll always be
The door is always open

This is the place that I loved her
And these are the friends that she had
Long may the mountains ring
To the sound of her laughter

And she goes on and on...

In her soft wind I will whisper
In her warm sun I will glisten
'Til we see her once again
In a world without end

Owe it all to Frank Sinatra
His song was playing when she walked into the room
After a long weekend
They were a lifetime together

Hear it in the eyes of children
And in the clear blue mountain view
They're coloring in the sky
And painting ladders to heaven

And she goes on and on...

In her soft wind I will whisper
In her warm sun I will glisten
'Til we see her once again
In a world without end

In her soft wind I will whisper
In her warm sun I will glisten
And I always will remember
In a world without end

13. This is one of my favorites

I'LL SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS
(Words and Music by Gus Kahn & Isham Jones)

Tho’ the days are long, twi-light sings a song,
Of the happiness that used to be;
Soon my eyes will close, soon I’ll find repose,
And in dreams you’re always near to me.

I’ll see you in my dreams
Hold you in my dreams
Someone took you out of my arms,
Still I feel the thrill of your charms.

Lips that once were mine,
Tender eyes that shine,
They will light my way tonight,
I’ll see you in my dreams.
