3. It was a blast!
It was in 1998 at Kadena AB in Okinawa, Japan. I was Airman of the Quarter or something like that and got to go on a joy ride (they called them "incentive rides") One of the greatest experiences ever! Just the sheer power was like nothing you could ever imagine!

2. The best thing about aircraft is that you can parachute from them.
Of course I wouldn't want to jump from that bad boy in your post. It's going a bit too fast!

4. Yeah, I don't think I would either
I did hear about an F-4 pilot whose control stick got stuck when he pulled back for takeoff. The plane rose and kept going all the way around in a loop. When the pilot realized he couldn't push the stick forward, he ejected. The plane was upside down and he ejected straight into the ground where he was killed instantly. Turns out, a careless crew chief had dropped a screw that lodged into the control stick housing.

Can anyone here validate that story?
