1. It caught the mood and the story arch of the 60s, even if it ended the war a little early
There were fluff parts, to be sure, but it caught the spirit of the times wonderfully--the whole arc from hope and innocense, to anger, to despair, to a simpler down-sized hope. It left off the messy bits, like the characters mimicked on Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix not dying of drug overdoses or the fact that the war that got everyone so angry continuing for another five years after the lead characters' happy ending.

I enjoyed it. I actually cried during the Detroit riot scene, altho I was forced to go slug a guy in a bar later to make up for it.

3. Other: minge
I'm just still tickled pink over the word "minge".

"Ginger minge", especially!

6. I want the song, "Across the Universe" on a loop!!
I have loved that song... forever!!!!!!!!!! :loveya:

It just "speaks to me" and I have to stop whatever I'm doing if it comes on
the radio, just to listen to it and I demand that anyone in the room be quiet!! :P

I haven't seen the movie yet but as the mother of two Gen Y's and a Gen X....

Or is it 2 Gen X's and a Gen Y? ( )

I absolutely LOVE that song!!!!!! And so do they... ;)
