So I was buyin a beer tonight and got to tell a guy about DU.....

......I went to a place called MisQues with a friend and her husband tonight...they're in town for a few days visitin' and talked me into goin' bar hoppin'...which I've not done in many many years...sooo anyway....I was standin' at the bar orderin' a beer and this guy sittin' there was impressed with the tip I gave the bartender...*Bud Longneck 1.75/* I gave her 3.00 and told her to keep the change....so he says you must have bartended or waitressed before to give such a generous tip....I have in fact waitressed I said to him...so he says his name is John...he says he's there with a guy that's leavin' to go to Afghanistan next week....and I told him to tell him I was extremely grateful for his service and I would be thinkin' of him as I hated the reasons for which he was bein' sent over there and I HATED BUSH....he was agreein' with me so I asked him if he had a computer...he said yeah so I told him to check us out next time he was online...that I've learned so much from this place...that the people who come here are absolutely incredible...he says he would definitely do it...I had a really great time tonight...saw several people I'd not seen in a LOOOONG time...and got to chat up DU too! :)

there was a story of somone in a taxi finding another far far left democrat who hadnt known about Democratic Underground... i think the actions of bush are pushing the genearl public father and farther left every day. the everyday person is becoming more of an extreamest each day... and looks like thier leaning farther left than right.
