I cut about 6" off my hair today. I'm 51 and stopped dying my hair about 3 years ago.

It was long enough to always put it back. Now, I have a face, for better or worse. And it will be awhile before I can lose it.

Kind of fun.

9. Six inches is quite a bit. Change is good.

I had extremely short hair about 6 years ago. Clipper size 4 on top and 2 on the sides. It was great to take care off. When I went to the hair salon for the first time, the stylist asked me about 5 times if I am sure about it. I lived in Oklahoma back then and girls are supposed to have long hair. I was single and without a date for quite a while.

My hair has grown since than, I moved to California, and got married on September 1st. Change is good.

And one I do not support...at all. Some women it looks good on, but on some it is horrid and just ruins them. But you have been wearing it for while so I am guessing it is not the trendy cut to get for you.


In fact I was dating a woman last summer and he had lovely long hair, silver/grey. Nice. She got it cut,and did the bangs thing. It did not suit her face at all. But it seems to be the style of all women over 45 or so to get. To me she went from Hot to lukewarm in one day. I really could not get over it. Needless to say we are not dating anymore (not that that was the sole reason).

28. Sorry but I do not have one....

It just seems all of a sudden a single woman gives herself this particular cut. Long but with bangs. It is like they still have long hair but add the bangs, not cut it into a short do. When she looked perfectly fine with her hair pulled back. And it has no relation to the face at all. Some people look cute with bangs, but this is the style going right now with no regard to how it looks.

It may just be a California thing or even a Sacramento thing I don't know, but the cut is prevalent here.
