Me? I'd be an entertainment music journalist. Probably working for some indie rag, making no money and pouring through CMJ and eMusic looking for "the next BIG BIG THING!"

10. Do you want to go into business together? I want to be a party planner!
(I've done it for family gatherings - my son insisted on 'theme' parties thoughout his life - and we held 'theme' graduation parties for family members).

I'll need a caterer to come up with some cool foods for the rich people!

Seriously! No, there's lots of good music, they are a neighbor to where I live (Seattle) and where I used to live (Michigan), we'll have salmon, good music, a red and white motif.....BC wines, tourtiere - it'll be fun!

Hey, if you're going to be a party planner, wouldn't it work better if you didn't lie down and laugh at your clients' ideas????? (Just teasing).

:sarcasm:

No, we'll play the Guess Who, Sarah MacLachlan, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Barenaked Ladies, Feist, Great Big Sea, Natalie McMaster....

I think we'll do okay as far as the music goes.

I didn't realize we'd have to debunk so many stereotypes!

39. I said exactly the same thing to my b/f a few days ago
I was remarking that when I was growing up, we had a lot of papers... The San Pedro News Pilot, The Lomita News, The Herald Examiner, The Daily Breeze... all local papers... I read them all, every day, in addition to The Los Angeles Times.

My 4th grade teacher was HUGE on current events, and very civic minded. She told us that everyone should read two newspapers a day, cover to cover, and at least four magazines a month. I took that advice to heart... and I'll never forget it... and I'll pass on the advice whenever possible.

23. Something creative. And I don't necessarily mean right-brained 'creative', but more in the sense
that I'd be MAKING something. That's always been my main drive in life, to create. I'd be happy doing a lot of things. Right now my two big hobbies are making indie video games and brewing mead. :)

I've also been thinking about combining my musical ability and my desire to create and start dabbling in creating musical instruments, probably of the guitar-ish variety.

36. Have you ever watched Nip / Tuck?
There was this episode where the son of one of the main characters went to a "porn party". He met this girl who was trying to break into the business. He asked her what she was doing and she said that she was "starting at the bottom...as a fluffer." He said "Oh, that sounds so demeaning." She replied, "Oh no, I really like it. Maybe that's why I always have one of these in my mouth." as she held up a tootsie pop. She then bit off the tootsie pop and goes, "Whoops."

I got tired of being poor, so now I'm chief cook and bottle washer (EA, office manager, Queen Bee) at a PR firm, making more money than I ever thought I would. I think of it as a winsome juxtaposition to my former rockin' life:)

Yes, this sort of Tom-foolery would never wash in my corporate life:)
