are actually pretty good, although a little lengthy.

1. I agree
I think Rowling should have stayed closer to the original plot of the film.

2. It's not Rowling, you fool, it's CS Lewis. Rowling is Star Wars, an entirely different genre.

Geez.

And while the Lord of the Rings books are okay, I don't know why Lewis had to make them so much longer the films, and add all those extra characters that didn't help the plot at all, and just made it more confusing. And why did he have to have Sauruman come back and take over the Shire? That wasn't in the movie at all, and just bogged down the story.

He should have modeled Lord of the Rings more like the pithiness of George Lucas' Narnia series - now that's some good movie adaptation writing - or Milne's Harry Potter movie books.

4. A.A. Milne's "Harry Potter" movie books
Note to self: do not drink coffee while reading Lounge posts. Though, you have to admit, Pooh with a light sabre would have been interesting.

5. Pooh with light saber - esp. first (and last) time Tigger jumps on him
Edited on Wed Oct-10-07 02:36 PM by Rabrrrrrr
(Tigger lands on Pooh; light saber lights immediately and begins swinging)

Bzhzhzhzht! bzzhzht bzzhzhzhzt bzhzhzt bzzhzhzhhzzt!!! bzhzhzhzt!!!

Pooh (poking various orange colored pieces of flesh with his foot): "What..... what was that, Piglet?"

"I...I...I...I.. don't know, Pooh, but it... it... it... was orange and s-s-s-s-s-scary".

"Well, it's dead now. Killing things make me hungry. Let's have lunch!"

6. And I bet Christopher Robin keeps his whiny yap shut.
Pooh: "What was that, Chris? What did you say?"
CR: "Uh, nothing, Winnie."
Pooh: (lightsabre extends) "What the fu** did you just call me?"
CR: Sorry! Mr. Pooh. So, very sorry, Mr. Pooh."
Pooh: "You were this close, little boy."
