Had to have 4 teeth pulled. The last two days were not pleasant. SO please go to the dentist, at least once a year. I am now paying for my mistakes.

3. Yeah that's some good advice.
I brush mine everyday, once in the morning and once in the evening. I still had issues. It sucked having to have that done.

2. I also learned the hard way
Get them cleaned often too. They do crap that you can't that totally prevents bad stuff.

7. Due to work and the lack of them wanting to add people to our department...
It is hard to get time off. I know that is not a really good excuse but I have had hell trying to take time off.

9. I don't have great dental coverage, alas
A procedure that goes for $1000 (say, a crown and root canal) winds up costing me about $850.

In contrast a friend of mine had reconstructive shoulder surgery a few years back that totalled somewhere around $65,000, and he paid $25 for it.

Let's see... I have a Dremel and a pair of pliers, and I'm sure that I could pick up some amalgam somewhere...

14. I go back in two weeks to have the cleaning and some fillings put in.
He said that the fillings are small ones so won't be so bad.

16. Don't know how that feels.
I know I felt like I took a baseball bat to the jaw after the stuff wore off.
