4. I don't think it will do well with shower material.
Or, more accurately, I don't think the shower material will do well under the attack of the oven cleaner, unless said shower is made of the same stuff that ovens are lined with.

5. Try vinegar
Fill a sandwich bag with white vinegar, place it around the shower head (adhere using a rubber band) and let it sit for a while.

7. I've had good luck with foaming scrubbing bubbles.
I either use a dobie/nylon scrubbie or a softer bristle brush along with it.

10. I've tried both Kaboom
and Bam. Bam seems to work better but wear old clothes and gloves. It will bleach out your clothes.

11. Another recommendation for Bam.
I use the one that cleans drains out too. I have long hair and sooner or later all of my bathroom drains slow down because of it. That stuff is wonderful.

It will destroy any rubber and totally grey the metal....

here's a thought... Use soap scum remover.
