I'm so disillusioned with internet friends

Just heard from a friend via PM. He asked for "nekkid pictures." When I said I didn't do that the conversation abruptly stopped.

Why do I feel violated... betrayed... left standing alone in the middle of a crowd?

I miss my friends I could talk to.

To make things worse, I accidentally hit my cat in the head with the remote tonight... when I threw it to my husband. How do you know when a cat gets a concussion? Do I keep her awake? Poor Pumpkin.

Never say things can't get worse in the last 2 hours of your day.

but please remember that internet friends are internet friends. I learned the hard way that it is important to make this distinction. Honestly, I have made about three internet friends (meaning people I have never met in person) that I have come to truly trust. Everyone else I respect and enjoy, but there is a difference between an internet friend and someone you know.

Please be careful out there.

I've accidentally bonked my kitties in the head a number of times and they've been fine. Morrissey routinely gets overexcited and cracks his noggin on the coffee table. Silly kitties!

That seems to happen a lot with me, not with online friends but with 3D friends. Either way, it hurts when you think you've made a connection with someone only to find out they had other motives.
