If you could buy a new car under 25k
tomorrow, what car would you buy?

Of course, they'll try and tell you that the car is worth more, but you are paying cash.

14. Hard to say, because there are SO many good ones. Unlike years ago, it's actually
difficult to buy a BAD car these days.

There seem to be no more Ford Pintos, Chevy Vegas, or other such dreadful dogs of the past.

47. what I don't like about the Element
The back seat is not great to ride in, and you can't exit the back until the person in front opens their door, so it turns it essentially into a two-door couple, despite the suicide doors in back. The huge pillar on the side of the back made sight-seeing difficult.

And it's great for HAULING large dog, but the Civic is actually more fun for him to ride in because we can roll the windows down all the way and he can stick his head out and dig the ride.

The Element only has the crummy little windows in back so no full out the window action for Fargs. He just looks at me and glares when I put him back there now. "This isn't like DAD'S car."

25. The 4 cylinder Honda Accord is a great car.
I've got the 2006 model, that's quick, powerful and fuel efficient. The new 2008 model is apparently even better all around. Honda also sells a 6 cylinder model, but it's not that much more powerful in everyday use, and gets worse mileage. There's also a hybrid, but unfortunately, it's based on the 6 cylinder, so it just about gets the same mileage as the normally-powered 4 cylinder.

27. Ford Escape or Subaru Forester
Nicely equipped, if it's in the budget, with a stick shift (better gas milage) and the engine upgrade.

Just what I need. Room for me, my kid, and hopefully a great woman. Big enough, but not massive. Stick shift and four-wheel-drive are added bonuses.

My uncle has a Forester 2.5X with the turbo and he loves it.

29. We just bought a Prius in July for under $25K It's incredible!!!
I needed to fill up today and stopped at an Arco Station, went inside and
gave the cashier $25.00 cash for unleaded on pump #5. I couldn't believe it, but the
pump stopped at $23.17 and I had to go back inside and get a refund!!!!!

Absolutely LOVE the car, it's smooth, comfy and economical.

The Toyota Corolla for less than 15k gets terrific gas mileage is not too small and is a great car all around if you don't need all wheel drive.

i'd buy one about 2 years old with 10,000 - 30,000 miles on it

if i was financing up to 25k, i'd probably be able to get a hell of a lot of vehicle. at least a 1/4 ton chevy pick up truck. with all the bells and whistles, probably a Z71.

2005 Chevy Malibu, LT. V6 engine, plenty of room, loaded with features, dealer maintained (it was a sales manager's car), 33,000 miles, and just $13,200! I could almost buy two for that 25K!

There are tons of cars you can buy new under 25K. Or do you mean "if" someone gave me the money?

I just bought a new Toyota Yaris for 13K. And 40 mpg! Not half bad until I can afford a hybrid.
